In May my husband & I attended a 3-day "seminar" at the Renaissance Hotel in Orlando, Florida. We were expecting a $495.00 information gathering weekend but what we got was a constant high pressure intimidating sales pitch from a seasoned human behavior psychology master!
The pressure was overwhelming & the "coach" made fun of people who didn't participate in the whole "being a millionaire" mindset. The seminar was more about the packaged training costs & how it was going to make us all "millionaires" than it was just information about real estate buying and selling.
The "coach" continually made offensive remarks in a joking fashion & concentrated his efforts on people who were skeptical & pointed them out. He told a lot of stories to make people comfortable with him & expected we would all want to be just like him. He was a master sales person, no wonder the company recruited him, he is perfect for driving the hype up so much that people can't wait to empty their pocketbooks.
We expected an information session & were very disappointed that we had to sit through all the sales pitches to get any information at all. It was very clear the intentions of the company were to sell their products & to get people to do that they had to throw in a little bit of actual real estate information.
