We purchased a dvd writer from LITEON and thought when we got home we would have a way to burn and edit dvds; however, when we installed it there was a problem with the software cd. It would not install and when I called them to get them to replace it, they told me at that time that it would only last 30 days and that I would have to buy the software to run the equipment separately. So, we now have a dvd burner that will not work unless we spend more money and buy the Nero software.
I read over the box numerous times and even read the book from the box and NOWHERE on the box or in the book does it tell you this software will only work for 30 days (trial version). Even the tech I spoke to said that he understood my anger because he gets many calls from people who bought this product after their 30 day trial runs out and they cannot use their equipment any longer.
Sad and fraudulent if you ask me. They should have to tell you this on the box so that when you are in the store and buying it, you would see that there would be additional costs later.
