Online Classes Misled lied Ripped Off then I withdrew from online classes

I enrolled at the University of Phoenix online classes this past May which I did not want to start that soon, I was rushed into starting at this date, because the enrollment counselor said I would get free tuition, free resource fee, two free manuals, and that I just had to start right away.

So I did, now I wish that I would of waited and learned more about how they operate. They gave me misleading information, I asked to see what classes I would have to take before starting and I was advised that the academic counselor would be in contact with me. I have a learning disaility and I knew that I would need help. (at the end of the week one) The academic counselor contacted me. I explained my disability and she referred me to the ADA counselor who handles learning disabilities.

I spoke with her and told her that I have not been assesed since high school and she told me that I would need to get an assessment, I don't have health insurance so I would have to pay that fee out of my pocket which that could cost a couple of hundred dollars. I told her that I would not be able to afford that, and she said another option would be go to another unversity that way I could get testing and tutoring to help with my disabilites. So I was in a no win situation,

I had already enrolled and by this time it was day number 6 and I wasn't sure what to do. So by the begining of the following week I decided that I was going to withdrawl I really figured out that I was not going to be able to handle the class work load and the classes without help. I was already expericing chest pains and I was physically sick because I knew that I would never be able to pass this class without help. And I was enrolled for 9 days and they said that if I withdrew I would have to pay for the class which I was told at that time it was $1200. Which, I feel is a rip off especially when they could not help me with my academic needs and I was there for 9 days.!! Then I was treated horrible from the enrollment manager for withdrawling, and I was basically told that I'm a quitter and that I need to rethink about my future and when I make a decision to do something I need to stick to it. Well When I was told that I was not going to share with him why I wanted to withdrawl because he already made me feel bad and I felt like he would just cut me down more for having a learning disabililty.

So I called my financial counselor and told her the situation and that I felt since they could not assist me I would be more that willing to pay for the 9 days I was enrolled and for the two free manuals, and she told me that they do not pro-rate anymore. And she said she would check on my situation and see if there was something that could be done, I told her that I would have a hard time paying for a portion of the bill but, I would try to do it.

She said she would call back she never did, then I called and left a message and her voice mail said she was on vacation, I left another message and called back when she was suppose to be off of vacation. Then I called a fiancial manager and left him a message. NOONE has returned my calls.

And now I recieved a bill for $1602.00 I don't know what to do because I couldn't afford to pay for the class in the first place I was getting financial aid and grants, now I have this bill that I know I can't afford to pay. I hardly have enough money a month to take care of my kids let alone give this place $1602. Truly for nothing, and I feel that I was taken advantage of and that there stealing from me. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
