I wish I would've known about this site before I
began working in New York with Cambridge communications
and moved to Cherry Hill New Jersey with Peter's
Marketing Concepts. Just like Kristen above I started out in the New york office and moved to Jersey to open up an office with my then leader Chad Peters. I look back now and I'm like what the h*l was I thinking. But like everyone else most people we're either trying to obtain a job in marketing, management, or get out of the field they we're in completely. Here was a company who hired you right away and took an interest in you and it was
surreal.

I started before 9/11 around June. I quit my job as a pharmacy technician to go here. I should've known everytime I inquired about the website which at
that time wasn't even up yet or being tweaked as they said that it was BS. When I asked about health
insurance it was oh when you have your own office
you'll be taken care of. Blah blah, blah. I remember
Chad took me and some other girl out on an interview
which was weird who he kept talkign s*t about. She did
nothing wasn't interested and still got offered the job
to her.

It just so happened to be Steve who Kristen referred to above. It made no sense to me. I would always wonder why he did that and a few months into the business I knew
b/c he was desperate and his sole concern was to
make money off of his so called crew, which at one point
consisted of about 15 people. What happens is once
you interview and train that person to be just like you
you promote them... They get excited and don't even
think about what this all really means... You get
promoted to a LEADER and the "new" guy gets to go to
leadership meetings at 7:00 in the morning where we
talked s*it about the new guys... And tried to make
them better... Ie: Build -break build EX: you we're
great speaking to those people today but I saw that you
sat down outside for a minute and that's not part of the
do whatever it takes attitude next time try this.

We're in a cult. Anyway once I was a leader no one really babied you anymore and alot was expected of you. I had no car and would take a train from my town to farmingdale which was 30 minutes away and then take
a bus or cab to the office and walk the remainder of
the way. I'd get there at like 6:40 and wait for everyone else to get there.

I'd work until sometimes 9:30 or 11:00 at nite whatever it took. I was nuts. I made hardly any money and I remember getting into fights with Steve over an app that was mine and I was made to split it with her. I have to say they're we're many times I should've left and ithink I did come quite close to leavign but of course didnt.

At first I wasn't making any money and actually took out some loans from the owne. Cory slipakoff who of course took the money right back as soon as i made some money. The campiagn where Chad peters built his crew was called Econergy and it was a gas/and energy campoiagn where we'd switch people over from keyspan and they're energy cvompany and they would grt the bill all in one and save money. This campaign made us money. If course when you have a good campaign everyone wants to work and make money. Can't beat that. That was the moist i ever made there and the office quickly grew to like 70 people very quicky. It was nuts. So to sum it up you we're in atmosphere in the mornings, making sure you had enough applications for the day, gettign territory, trying to stay motivated by givign a speech... IMPACTS they we're called, and spend the day in Brooklyn the ghettoest areas ever, askign people for water cause you had no money or we're dehydrated from walkign around all day and writing down every house you went to. You'd come back at like 5:30 to ring the bell or gong when you did a certaing amount of applications and if you didn't on this campaign you we're a complete idiot and looked like one to. You'd try to settle up as quick as possible... Find out what your day of observation wrote on the board and let them know what they need to work on and walk them out. All in a days work.

So after a leader buids his team of four people the want to byuild growthy and people who produce. So chad got up to 15 and then he we went on production. All the money he made goes into his account for whn he becomes a deal and opens up his ownn office. Chad made tons of money on production and finally got a deal and asked us to move to jersey. I remeber being so excited to go you know but what the hell was I thinking. Our first check in jersey was BS b/c they kept the money. Or as Cory said to us while I was crying in my new living room the apps didn't clear and the people changed they're minds... What i had like 2000 coming to me in one check and all I got was like $200. I was hysterical. But of course you can't be negative. I had to borrow money from a friend of mine to put as a deposit for rent. Ridiculous. It was Me Matt, felicia, Mike B, Kristen, and matt... The unsuspecting 6.

My parents didn't know what was going on with me... All our family was in another state far away. Anyway we had to share an office with this guy michael sessions b/c he was on a re... Hmmm I don't remember the term but he pretty much wasn't making money and had to be puit with us to make rent and shit. SO after I got to know him I knew it was b/c he was sleeping with everyone in the office and wasn't as focused as he should've been.

I was in the jersey office in cherry hill for a year and a half and it was the craziest experience I've been in. It was absolutely ridiculous. What i've learned from it... I can spot all these companies out now... They're all the same. You know when they call you and they don't give you a salary, they offer you the job and your interview wasn't good at all, ther's no mention of salary (b/c it;s commission) but in your gut you know somethings up. Beware for them cause they're ALL OVER the UNITED STATES and they have funny names that you wouldn't use for a marketing company so it's unsuspecting to you. I could go ojn and on about the crazy times in jersey but it's not worth it. If you have any questions let me know and for those that i worked with at this crazy ass company please feel free to email me. Hope this helps a little.
