Oh, my God! I could kick myself... Why oh Why had I not seen these reports before attending AIU. I completed my Degree in Business in 2006. The Enrollment Scam went just as the other persons rip off report stated. I thought I was getting into a good online school, a school that would help me advance my career. I went through the classes and I really studied and I really did earn my degree despite what others say about the classes being easy, some were not.
Any way, I went through the school not knowing they were at risk of lossing thier accredation, and that there enrollment was all a scam. As I was being enrolled I told the enrollment counslor that I could only afford what I could get through student loans. She assured me that it would cover all my classes, however by the second term, I got a call stating I needed to sign a cash agreement. Working with the promise from my employer of a pay increase after I get my degree, I signed it because I wanted and needed it.
I know, I know, dum on my part. But where should I go know? My job won't give me a pay increase because I don't have my degree, AIU will not give me my degree because I still owe for my student cash agreement, which I can't pay without my pay increase. A degree from a school thats about to be worthless. I am sorry but I think I am going to give AIU a call and let thm know about this. Not all that but that I refuse to pay my cash agreement for a piece of fine paper. Please if a class action lawsuite ever comes from these issues about this school please notify me.By the way my sister inlaw and I went through this school at the same time. So thats two birds on the dumb, dumb, wire.
I would like to sue AIU to force them to pay back my student loan, they can keep thier degree. I am know enrolling into Chicago State University to get another degree and continue to my Masters. I thank you all for this information I will spread the word on AIU.
