My wife and I were searching for something that my wife could run from home because of her medical problems. We came across the site for Adriatic, and it sounded like just what we were looking for, so we entered our information and waited for a call.
We received a call from Bob Klinghagen who proceded to tell us all about the adult business, and about all the money that could be made. He made it sound so great, so we signed up. Bob was real helpful at first, he told us to call whenever, that his phone was always on, but we soon found out that was not true.
I wrote Bob a nasty email, and finally he got back to me just to tell me that we are not his only clients, and that he is a very busy man, so I wrote back to remind him about what he said, and to let him know exactly what I thought about him.
I was lucky enough to hear from another site owner who told me to check out complaint, and to also check out a couple of blogs about Adriatic. I read with interest the complaints about Adriatic, I was starting to understand that maybe buying into this was a bad idea, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I wrote to customer service, and I mentioned about complaint, and about the blogs, and how I wanted access to my source code so that I could optimize my site myself. I heard back from Mike who, according to him that was not possible because if they gave me access to my code I would also have access to other site's codes.
I told Mike that when I owned my previous website that I had access to all code associated with my site, so I know that he was full of s*t, he just wanted me to pay his company to do it for me. I told him that I wanted access to my code or I wanted my money back. I was surprised that they actually gave me my money back, but I think that was only because I threatened to report them to numerous places and to post about them on internet boards.
I am still waiting for my commission check for $3.77, it has been about a month and a half. I was told by Mike that it would be sent out ASAP, they have no problem taking money from uninformed people, but when it's time to pay out, you'll be lucky if you see a dime. Do not do business with this company, they will RIP YOU OFF.
