The other day I received a letter in the mail, with no return address and a Canadian stamp. When I open it, I find a check encolsed in the amount of $4500.00, in a letter stating that I was one of the winners in the North-American Sweepstakes Lottery. The first thing I did was go online and try to look up the company under Global Financial Inc. Which was on the letter, then I tried to look up Global Finance Corporation, no luck. Then I looked up the routing number that was on the check, and the result LaSalle Bank, but on the check the bank that it was written off of was Bank Boston Maine, N. A South Portland, ME, which I couldn't find either.
The first thing that really set me off is that the letter was addressed to me with my maiden name, not my married name, because I haven't used my maiden name in years. But then I look at the letter, and it looks like something anyone can do at home on their personal computer.
Don't be fooled or taken in by this scam, these people only want your money and you will never see a dime from the so-called lottery win!
