I was a loyal customer to Cross Country bank for over five years. I could have left over two years ago when my credit rating improved, but I stayed. I paid my bill early and rarely went over my limit.
Last month I had some problems with my bank and I had to send my CCB payment in five days late. At the same time I went over my limit by 3 dollars. That's right $3.00.ccB charged me a $30.00 late fee, a $30.00 over limit fee and the $50.00 annual fee. I immediately disputed the two $30.00 fees by sending them a letter from my bank explaining why I was late.
They responded by saying all the fees were valid and they refused to waive them. I cut up the card and mailed it back, and requested that they take off the $50.00 annual fee because I won't be using the card.
They refused even after I explained that the card was mailed back to them.ccB is the biggest scam going! They don't even have a 1-800 number for customer service. When you call, you have to pay for it. Avoid CCB at all cost! Does anyone know how I can get out of paying them back.
