First off, I would like to thank everyone that has reported this fraudulant billing on this site, as it is how I found out that this was a scam. Secondly, I advise everyone that has received one of these scam letters to go and report it to your local police department, as that is what I have done as of this morning. This company should be procecuted or brought forth a class action lawsuit as that is what would happen to us for bad checks.
I received the same letter as the same as all of you on Saturday. Today, Monday morning, I saw a report on the news from a lady (who does not live far from me) about her scam letter, and bam it was the same as mine, she researched the company on the internet and got to this site, so believe it or not all these comments help others in these rip offs.
I called the company (acting as if I didn't know they were a scam) telling them that I would like a copy of my check and what account it was written on. They told me that the check was written in 1999 (OH SURPRISE, SOUND FAMILIAR TO ANY OF YOU?) They said they were researching something and to call them tommorrow, we will see what happens then. I called the DA about this and was told to talk to the police chief in the town I live in so that has what has been done.
If these people were not a scam, why wouldn't any of us have been arrested and gone to court by now?
Please go to the police and file a report on the matter.
