I was checking my bank statement on 11/2 and noticed a fraudulant charge for $7.95 to my Wachovia account. I had no idea who this company was/is and it also caused a $35.00 overdraft fee. I think however that Wachovia is guiltier than networkagenda.com because in the last 30 days Wachovia has allowed 11 charges to go through my bank account when there were no funds or not enough funds to cover the charges resulting in $385.00 in overdraft fees for their bank. I was under the impression that if the funds were not there that the charge was denied but NO Wachovia lets the charges go through so they can collect overdraft fees. What a racquet! Thats why they can offer free checking accounts by allowing charges that they shouldn't resulting in alot of money in their pockets. As a single mother of 2 - working my butt off to make ends meet. I THINK THIS IS APPAULLING!!! Wachovia should be ashamed of themselves. Whats one more fraudulent charge for $7.95 if the bank can collect $35.
That $385.00 could have put groceries in my house for the month.
