Add me to the list of complaints against onrebate.com and Tigerdirect (one and same!). I jumped throught the hoops, almost missed a few of the sneaky moves created to stump would-be rebate receivers. I printed, signed, prinited more, checked the check list, taped my upc in the very special designated place, attached serial info and receipt etc. Packaged it all, mailed it as directed...
Got an email saying, 'hurray, your rebate has been approved!' Got that way back in June, still waiting. Just took another look at that email that congratulated me on my rebate approval. At the bottom there is a little line saying something about more approval coming my way when everything is approved or something stupid. So this is the way they trick and act sneaky. A big emial saying "your rebate has been approved!" which puts you at ease, you breathe a big sigh of relief, think, 'great they got my mailed submission" and then you sit and wait, and wait and wait.
And you'll keep waiting, you know why? Becuase you haven't been approved. Your approval needs more approving. After printing and signing and taping and mailing and following web directions to various forms, you will get an approval, with a very subtle hint that you must go back to their site for some other calisthenics. Those who are weary from this marathon may drop out at this point, others may find the strength to push on. I am pushing on. Perhaps I too will get to nadina, the great oz. Wish me luck.
