Computer drafting and design at ITT Technical Institute
I am filling a complaint about ITT Tech for not teaching class not giving class that they charge for. Class number CD310T Civil Drafting and Introduction to GIS. I was charged for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) class that I did not get and when I ask why I was told that the program did not work and had not worked for at least four quarters but I would still get credit for the class.
Also CD260T Digital Information Management in this class we were to learn how to receive graphical data in digital form convert files, transfer files, web collaboration and interaction with different graphics-based information systems. We did not get any of that because the instructor did not know how to do this so for the entire class we just done cad drawing and got credit for the class.
This class CD111T Introduction to Design and Drafting was you should learn how to use auto cad the program and do some manual drafting techniques. When the class started the instructor said just go in the class and play with cad and you would learn it and that is all the instruction we got in the class. Now I along with others went to the cad chair which at the time was Miss. Solis she said she would look in to it but she did not know anything about auto cad.
There were other people that I talk to about this problem. I talk to the Dean Collier and all he ever said was he would look in to it and get back to me which he never did and when I ask him he just repeats I will get back to you.in my microeconomics I was told by the instructor that if I needed any help in the class not to ask her because she would not help this was because I would not go to the board and do a problem now I am a 80% disable veteran and can not stand for long priors of time I went to the cad chair he said that he would check in to it and get back to me two weeks later I ask the chair about the problem and he told me the instructor only worked on Monday and he was off on Monday so he had done nothing.
I also tried several time to talk to Mr. Stephen C. Marks the Director at the time and he was either out or on the phone and could not talk. I did get to talk to the new Director Mr. Garland several times and he just kept putting off giving me an answer or doing anything until I got out of school he said he would call me on September 6 and tells me what they were going to do about the problems I had well he never called.
This is not all the problems I had with this school this is just the ones I member off hand. I am a disable veteran 80% which the school knew about before I started and said there would be know problem with that.
