Sent check for 1995.00 for taxes and service charges ripoff Amsterdam

I received a "Lotto" sweepstakes winning... Apparently they even secured the required amount in a check form of $1995.00.

The check is from Uniti Credit Union with an email address of unitycunion.com. It had all the watermarks and actually looks like a real check. What the red flag for me was were the check originated from. Brockton, MA 02302 with phone # 514-582-4581.

Also, for anyone else's interest... They also sent me the HEAD OFFICE # 1-604-537-6748 for directives on Validation/Remittance procedures. AND I must do this by August 26th. The letter is dated 8/4/06.

I am taking this to my bank and am going to ask them to prosecute whom ever is writing these checks. They actually may be stolen property.

I hope this report helps others and I pray that no one else gets taken... AND I did not enter any lotto or sweepstakes from another country!!
