Fairfield Resort
Ripoff

We purchased 154,000 points in Oct from the Grand Desert, Las Vegas. We were told we would be assigned someone who would help us plan our future vacations.

When I tried to reserve a vacation for April in Jan. Of 2006 I was told no avaiable rooms, I got online and there was available rooms so i called reservations back and they said it was just an oversight on their part, their were rooms left.

We stayed at the grand desert for 4 days in April. The pools and hot tubs were closed for maintenance all but 1 day we were there, the coffee pot didn't work, the cabinet fronts were falling off. We had to attend the meeting to find out about changes, no it was just a high pressure sales pitch.

Well we are suckers and bought into the discovery vacation crap and were told we would instantly be VIPs with VIP treatment, they even asked us if we would like to go ahead and book our next vacation while we were there. They were going to upgrade us to a 2 bedroom since our stuff fell through the cracks and we had such a hard time planning our vacation.

Well we went to the desk to find out about our upgraded room and were told they could only do it one night and then we were told they couldn't do it at all. We were assigned Rita to be our vacation planner, guess what she was from KY just like us... Amazing.

Well we have been trying to plan our next vacation to Vegas since we got home. We wanted to be further down on the strip and were told RCI / Fairfield had 4 places on the strip, now that has changed to 1 and guess what they are booked solid. Our points still aren't showing on our acct. Even though they take the money every month. Even without the discovery points, we have 77,000 left and another 154,000 coming in Jan 07, and 210,00 from the discovery that we can borrow from in Oct. Rita acts as if she has never talked to us and repeatedly tells us she will get this straightened out and we never hear back from her. We are not VIPS as we were told we would instantly be.

Amazingly enough one of the telemarketers called and wanted to book us for a weekend at Harrahs with another couple for a $50.00 deposit, they had rooms avaiable for that. Maybe we don't understand how their system works, all i know is it doesn't work the way they say it does at the presentation. If we don't get any better service soon, we are having our lawyer look into a breach of contract suit, because we can't book a vacation and keep getting the run around.
