I received a phone call from Brian O'Neil who explained the program and informed me that he needed to get a copy of my credit report and it would cost $9.50. I gave him my debit card because I also wanted a copy of the credit report.
When he called me back he said that they would be able to help me. As we talked interference began to get much worse - so bad that I could not hear him. He was also talking fast and I asked him to slow down.
He was reading a contract to me. But he did not inform me and I do not recall even being told it was being recorded.
I can confirm that I asked him to slow down and also said that I could not hear him. I concluded with asking him to send me the information in the mail to look over since I could not hear what he was saying.
About 30 min after hanging up I just happened to check my bank account and was amazed to see $556.00 had been taken from my account. Immediately I called Mr. O'Neil back and told him that I had not authorized any money to be removed from my account with the exception of $9.50 and that New Wave should return it.

I needed to pay my mortgage and looked at my bank account to find that the money New Wave took had not been returned.
I contacted New Wave and spoke with Charlene Hall. I was informed that there was a recording and that I agreed to the contract.
She produced the recording after telling me it was hard to hear it. When it was played I could not hear a thing except what I had said. So I could hear myself say "OK, I can't hear you". Evidentially the OK was considered authorization because after it played she informed me that I had agreed.
So since I did not agree to it I consider the transfer as unauthorized. And what New Wave did was theft.
The company is about 5 or 6 months old and already has 5 complaints registered with the BBB.
There is also a question as to how they got my name and phone number. It may have been through questionable means.
