I went through the PSI Basic in October a gift from a friend. One thing is for sure, if you're going to get into PSI you must... Must... Have a strong mind that is able to sort out bullshit when you hear it; that and a very strong support system that has nothing to do with the Seminars.
I drove up with a staff person who lives in my town and all I really remember about that first night was the obvious insanity of the facilitator and that I rolled my eyes so much I nearly lost a contact.
After that first night was over, I had to stay past to wait for my ride, I was looked at like a martian when I began to help stack chairs; and rather rudely told to leave the room.
Needless to say, the remainder of the weekend was traumatising and I received what I can only describe as the silent treatment for my own opinions.
After certain "exercises" I had recurrent panic attacks.
Of course, the seminar is what you make of it, and I have chosen to bury the horror as deep as I can and extract small pieces that, when taken oppositely to how they were presented actually do hold some meaning in self-improvement.
