My wife and I are among the many others ripped off almost exactly like the courageous ex-Copeland telemarketer "Vicky" has repeatedly and eloquently described; she recently did so again in the "rebuttal" section at: http://usacomplaints.com/reports/ripoff198977.htm
if anyone has any doubts by now as to the facts.
I followed through with all the steps she recommended at the "rebuttal" section of: http://usacomplaints.com/reports/ripoff190470.htm and did receive a form letter from the Attorney General of Florida to fill out and send in, but also discussed my concerns about the BBB with our local BBB's exec. Director who has 46 years experience in the field and whom I know personally. She was utterly appalled by what they are letting go in Florida and described what she would do if this had come to light in Indiana.
It does not appear that the Attorney General is moving too fast on this in Florida, after soooo many complaints have been logged with the BBB there, but it would be best if everyone who has a concern about Copeland Marketing PHONED or wrote the Attorney General there NOW! He needs to hear from us. The BBB is not an enforcement agency - they can only log complaints and they have kicked Copeland out of the BBB there already.
Meanwhile, does anyone here have a lawyer interested in taking this on as a class action suit? I have an attorney friend here in our town who might, but if anyone is already underway with this, PLEASE POST A COMMENT IN A "REBUTTAL" HERE so we can all see it and know how to contact each other - with a phone number or email address! Otherwise, after a week or so, I will get on it and have Vicki send her extensive documentation to me.

I don't know why those people at FreeAdvice.com are so reluctant to respond, because it was a week ago that I posted the whole case (and also asked why the thread was closed so quickly) to see if an attorney there wanted to take this on, but have received no replies on either query, as of this date.
What I am also willing to do, for sure, is start a secure and "private" Yahoo Group today (where I will personally approve members for the group) for communication purposes among ourselves to help us get organized. I will let you all know the location and how to register once I get it set up, via an UPDATE comment right here.
I am an ordained minister, the former pastor of four parishes and now, for the past eleven years a hospital chaplain. I can handle a lot of crisis and stress and so that does not bother me much at all.
(Vicky, or anyone else, I need to follow the rules on this website, but you have enough clues right here, plus a clue at that other thread at FreeAdvice.com so that if you really want to get ahold of me you can go to superpages.com or someplace like that and look up the name of the place I work and ask for the chaplain. I work at the only hospital in town and I have private, secure voice mail. If one of my volunteers happens to answer the phone tell them you'll call back with a private voice mail.)
My wife is a former realtor herself, with many years experience, and we still got ripped off by Copeland last fall, even though we thought we checked them out thoroughly. So I know how vulnerable the general populace can be to this company. I am somewhat involved in the political process, locally, and have some experience in starting new organizations, and do know how to "get things done" - so come on my friends, be of good courage and "let's roll!"
