Prey on the misfortunate, dishonest, ripoff, completely uselss

We've all heard the comercials on the radio for Computertraining.com and their promises for 50,000 or even 60,000 a year income and that it only takes 6 months of your life, "what are you waiting for?" Of course you have heard them, they change the comercials almost weekly to cover their hides.

Anyone remember the ones without the disclaimers? I sure do, that's how they hooked me. Now they have a speed talking disclaimer that if you are lucky you can make out what they are even saying.

So after promising you the jackpot on salary and flat out guaranteeing you that you will have a job the day you graduate (and angels will sing, and world hunger and poverty will vanish) they contradict their entire add with the newly added disclaimer. If only I had copies of all the adds going back to when I decided that I needed to attend to survive my then pending divorce and dead end job.

And how about those jobs; one student was asked back to talk to our class as he had completed the course and gotten all his cracker-jack certificates and gotten a real job, straight out of school! Well, at least as soon as he finished passing all his exams, which was another 6 months on top of the 6 months they try and cram the crap down your throats. He was bragging about his $35,000 a year salary that he managed to get because he had his MCSE and all the other useless papers.

The course is way too quick for all the information you would have to learn. No sooner than you finish the first 600 page book, you have to schedule your exams with the testing centers, and at the same time the next book starts and you have to remember the first book while trying to learn the second.

By the time you get to the end of the course, you don't know exactly what it is that you know anymore, it's all one big jumble of information. Of course no one at the school bothers to tell you that if you fail to pass your test the second time, you will have to wait a minimum of one month (30 days) before you can test again. 30 days is a long time to wait and remember the information properely all the while having moved on to the next test, and ultimately starting on the third test in the mean time.

On top of that, the instructor handed out bootleg and highly illegal programs that were the actual test questions and answers for the tests to "help" the students along. I still have these programs today, doing just as much good as they did when I attended the course.

The last thing I needed to have happen as my life spiralled downward is the only thing I ended up getting out of this school. Now I can barely pay my bills due to haveing to spend $300 a month on something that I will never use. It's not a good feeling to have been taken advantage of by both the school and the financial company Sallie Mae. As a single parent, it's hard to make ends meet when you end up paying almost $4,000 a year for the next 15 years.

The school has a way out to cover their own butts, and also Salie Mae as well. No one no matter how good their credit can get financing without a co-signer or "Guarantor" on the loan. If only it was as easy as filing for bankruptcy to get out of this living hell. No, now if I file for bankruptcy they will sue my co-signers for the money, so I am basically stuck in a rut that has no end.

Everything the school and it's employees told me (and the other students) was a flat out lie to get you in the door. There were students in the class that had absolutely no computer knowledge and experience that were lost from day one. The online skills challenge to get you in is just a sham, you could get all the questions wrong and still get in, as long as you get a loan with Sallie Mae and use a co-signer. They have absolutely no care in the world about the students from the point you are accepted and get them their money, none at all.

I only hope that even just one person reads this and realizes it's a flat out money making scam and decides to go elsewhere for some real training. This school is nothing but bad news.

I thought I was doing better for myself and my son. Ultimately this may have been the nail in the coffin that will be my undoing.

Do yourself a favor, do NOT enroll in their bogus courses unless you have time and money to burn. They took 6 months of Tuesday and Thursday nights away from my son, now they are taking the food off the table and the clothes off his back. But hey, as long as they can get people in the door and drive their fancy new cars I guess it's ok.

I wish I had never even heard of Computertraining.com and their false promises.
