The same story happened to me and my friend yesterday 24/06 in Kiev Ukraine. This italian guy stopped my friend, he was on the rented car. He was crying that he lost all his money in casino and he does not have any money for back ticket to Italy. He had bad russian, when I asked him if he spoke english, he told yes but could not tell any word:)
He wanted 700 USD but all we could give was 450 USD and we got 1 man winter coat, 1 men and 1 woman usual coat and 1 man suit.
Now I know that we were ripped off but anyway we wou not buy these for the same price here in Ukraine - everything costs much more expensive.
But it is not a big pleasure to understand you were taken by some crook!
