Complaint / review text:
Some weeks ago, my brother went to this shopping center near the traffic circle in Long Beach, Ca. Well, my brother got out of the car, and headed towards an ATM. Then, an "italian guy" in a silver van pulls up, and asks my brother if he speaks Italian.
There was some other guy in the car too. My brother says "no". And the "italian guy" supposedely struggles to ask him where the LAX airport is. So, then he says "oh i speak some spanish and english."
My brother gives him the directions. Then the "italian guy" tells him that he's a fashion designer, and that he will give him free leather jackets b/c there left over from a convention in Las Vegas, and he will be taxed too much if he takes them back to Italy.
My brother says okay. Later, the guy asks him for money to change his airline tickets to Italy for that same day. He wanted to go back to Italy b/c he had lost thousands at the Bellagio Casino in Las, Vegas.
Since he showed him the "airline tickets", and his "italian passport", my brother thought he would help him out. So he went to ATM, took some cash out, and gave it to him. Still the guy asked him for some money for food.
But my brother said no more. Then he gave him his fake "business card", and wrote down his home phone # in Milan. He told him his name was Antonio. He said he would pay my brother back and soon as possible.
Later, I did a search of these jackets on-line, and found on Askjeeves.com all these consumer complaintss. And I told my brother he got scammed. Well, that freakin' sucked. What the h*l do these guys think they are?
I hope someone scams them, and puts them in jail.
