Kevin W. Richardson of E-qual Closing Services a Company that provided Ameriquest with Loan closers in the State of WI, abruptly went out of business on 11/09. Or at least that is when I received the below e-mail from him after repeated attempts to find out where the money he owed me was:

WE are no longer in business and taking care of collecting all of our money. We will be sending out all of the money due to everyone. If you have any questions regarding this matter please contact nina (mymother) at 847.867.4538. I am collecting the money and she will be cutting the checks.
So, I called his mother Nina and she assured me that I would get paid. This now being several months later and the balance of $779 is still owed. I have gotten several excuses from Kevin as to why he can't pay me. Nina no longer returns my phone calls. I believe they feel that this matter will hopefully just disappear.
This is an attempt to warn those out there that Kevin W. Richardson can not honor his debts. As I personally know of other Notary Signing Agents that he owes far more money to. This is a warning also that I have heard through the grapevine that he has left his job and is starting up a new Notary Signing Agent Company. I would warn anyone who would consider working for him that you may not get paid.
I have offered Kevin to pay me payments, he insisted on a lump sum which has NEVER materialized. He also said that he had an attorney suing Ameriquest for the money they owe him so I can get paid, the attorney through my own investigation is a CPA. So that was a lie. Nor did I find any law suit regarding Kevin or Ameriquest. Nor would Kevin tell me the details of the law suit and got very upset when I contacted the alleged attorney handling the case.
All were lies. If he was being honest he should have no problem telling me about the case filed against Ameriquest. What the details are, it is public record. His so called lawyer should be able to tell me how to get the info. He refused to put in writing anything and insisted that I call him. His cell number no longer works because he moved back to IL. So now there is no way of contacting him.
He kept asking me to call him for updates on what is going on with my money. The money he owes me.in my opinion my services were rendered and he should be the one calling the Notary Signing Agents to let them know what is going on with our money. I strongly caution anyone who gets a call from Kevin W. Richardson from IL to not do business with him unless he pays for your Signing Agent Services up front.
This is an attempt to recover some of the $779 that he owes me. It is beyond money now, it is principle. When I found out that he may be starting up another company without ever contacting me of is own accord to let me know where things stand with my money I was outraged! I have been patient, kind and understanding. He has been silent and living under a rock. He has given me no choice but to warn others and try to collect my funds the hard way. Principle is, that it does not matter if Ameriquest did not pay him. My work was with him. He got paid and then some. He has the obligation to contact me and the others to tell them what is going on with our money.
Furthermore, I have worked for other Signing Agent Services and have done several Ameriquest loans even after Ameriquest shut their doors and I got paid on all of them. Something with Kevin's story does not hold water.
I can't speak for the other signing agents. But he owes the money and needs become responsible about how he deals with people. Not all mistakes just disappear. This behavior is a precursor to future dealings. If he gets away with ripping off myself and others he will continue with that mentality. He becomes a bad risk to do business with. All the e-mails I have received from him show that he never had any intention of making good on the debt.
It has been nothing but a run-around. No law suit, no honest communication. This only leaves one to assume that he won't be paying up. He certainly has not taken responsibility and contacted me about what he owes. I have always had to initiate contact. I have every correspondence including the ones naming his so-called lawyer and when he said he would get paid and nothing. Don't do business with Kevin W. Richardson from IL. You may not get paid.
