Ripoff steals from checking account via debit card

I was reviewing our checking account on-line and noticed a $288.88 Point-of-Service (POS) deduction for a compnay called "U.S. Benefits" out of Howard Beach, NY that didn't look right. Usually our POS deductions are at gas stations and stores that take debit cards. I asked my wife and she didn't make the transaction so I immediately contacted our bank, which launched an investigation and issued us new debit cards.

After reading other reports on consumer complaints, we remembered receiving a package in the mail, which my wife immediately gave back to the letter carrier for return to sender. We don't recall the name of the company or the product, but the MO fits a previous report.

Pending the investigation by our bank, we will hopefully be credited for $288.88. Stay tuned!
