After sending in my $37 membership fee to Union Workers Credit Services, I decided to go online and read about the company. Their website is not too informative, but it's not misleading either. All the reports I have read on here, most of them are people saying "I was in debt and I wanted to pay some of it off", "I thought I was getting a plastic MC or Visa credit card!" Come on! I'd hate to think that there are that many illiterate adults out there. The letter CLEARLY states that you receive platinum membership with their company, and you will receive a $10,000 credit limit to purchase THEIR products from THEIR catalogue. Any complaints about receiving a paper card and a catalogue should be taken with disregard, these people are simply put idiots, because if they had read the letter, they would know they weren't getting a mastercard or visa. As for other complaints I have read, there is something about never receiving anything, I can't dispute the validity of that... And if it's true, wow... That sucks. The company should definately be sending everyone this membership if the check/money order was cashed. Another complaint I saw was something about paying for the merchandise first and then receiving coupons. I can't comment on that because I'm not quite sure what that is about. After reading these reports, I went to the companies website. There is a phone number which IS completely valid. Although it's not an 800 number, it does work, and after pressing a few buttons (which I'll admit was tedious) you can speak with a representative. I can say for all of you that didn't receive anything if you call the number provided in their contact section on their website and follow the prompts you can report that you never received anything. I'm going to guess that 90% of the people that complained never followed up with it. I hope this helps someone, and I intend to update once I receive my membership.
