According to this company, I signed up for a credit monitoring service back in June of when I applied for a payday loan online. I called this company within the first week of February, after reviewing my January bank statement, and found out how they got my information, and why they had been taking $9.95 from my checking account on a monthly basis.
I cancelled my account at that time, and unfortunately, I didn't write down the exact date. They took money out in February, March, and April. I called them today, May 2nd, and spoke with a rep. After interrupting me several times, verifying my information, I was informed that I didn't cancel the account until March 10th. I know this was incorrect, but she kept arguing with me, stating that the date cannot be manually entered into the computer. I asked for a supervisor, and was DENIED. And she told me that my account was not debited in April, when I know that it was. She wanted me to fax her a copy of my bank statement. There is no WAY in H* that I'm giving them any more information than they already have. They have also caused me to bounce checks because of their theft!
I have contacted my credit union, and asked for the Federal Form E. I have also filed a complaint with my Attorney General's Office. We'll see what happens. My checking account is a mess because of this. And so am I.
