Ripoff high pressure sales tactics Internet

Ecieved a call from rob kimball at continental warranty last night after having done an online request for extended warranty coverage on my vehicle.
I assumed with all the info that it would be an online quote similar to that of some of the auto insurance web sites.

Well, let me tell you it was smoothe for the initial information part of the warranty coverage. Until the real sales pitch started. At which time i stated that i needed to be able to compare price and coverages with other similar companies that i had not contacted as yet.
He commenced to inform me that this was a price deal right now and the only way to hold this price deal was to give them $245.00 down and if i wasn't satisfied after recieving the info and comparing to others, i would simply request a refund.

When i informed him that was not my intention another voice came on the phone, i assume he was listening all along and started to all but scream at me that i should not wait. When i interupted him, he yelled at me to allow him to finish at which time i said we were finished and hung up.

This bothered me the rest of the evening and i decided i wasn't going to just blow this off. I have been in sales most of my life and if i had treated a potential client with that kind of attitude, i would have been ashamed of myself and probably fired on the spot. I pity the people who are intimidated by these type of sales tactics and purchase something that probably is not what it appears, as is evident from the other complaints on your web site.
Thank you
