On February 21, I received a certificate, through the U.S. Postal service, indicating that I have won a prize of approximately #3,341, 006.00 which remains uncollected. The date of Dedicated Confirmed Status was listed as the 17th day of February. Three other prize winners were named and the amount of their prize was listed, indicating that they all had collected their prizes.
A report-release fee of $20.00 in cash, check, or money order made to "LVAAP" was requested from me in order to have the prize monies sent to me. This would put a "response by me on record and immediately expedite report-release re said U.S. Dollar amount."
I thought this might have been legitimate until my daughter brought to my attention that it was to be sent to a P.O. Box and not to an established office. I then looked this compamy up on the internet and learned that this was all of scam and many people have received this certificate. Some of the unfortunate receivers have been ripped off for $20.00.
The authors of this certificate should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for causing undue excitement and cheating people out of their hard-earned money.
