The financial aid department of this institution was extremely neglectful in the handling of my student loans and Pell grant money.
Everything went fine for the first two blocks (four classes) I had a 3.8 GPA. Then when it came time for my second grant disbursement they gave every excuse why I had not recieved it-from lost forms to computer failure. They would not return calls, e-mails or put any effort into correcting this problem. Due to this incompetance I could not afford the text books and my grades dropped dramaticly.
Sixteen weeks later they finally sent me what they said was the money owed, but what they really sent me was funds from the 2006 school year. This now means I will not receive the money from last years class (2005 school year) and will be short one entire disbursement during the current academic year.
This missapropriation of funds would have eventually caught up and left me in the same boat I had been in prior.
I have withdrawn from the school without the degree that I sought for the advancement of my family and only aquired debt.
I am highly dissapointed and hope that no one else has this horrible experience with Western International University.
