I found the J K Harris website after I saw one of thier tv commercials. I phoned and got an immediate appointment. The agent in the interview step was cordial and said we would hear from them by Friday (we met with him on Tuesday).
We did not. My wife called twice before talking to someone. The agent avoided for 2 weeks. The N Charleston agency did not call nor inform as they promised.
The IRS had already threatened to garnish and tie up my assets and all of our accounts; all of these were told to JKHarris.
As the IRS garnished my wages and tied up our money, the JK HArris firm decided to try twice to cash our upfront money-why? We told all of the people at J KH that if the IRS went ahead, we would not even have gas money to go to work! Also, about htis time we were turned over to their money management division. Again, we caled and wrote to tell them we did not ask for nor did we want this service. As JKH should know by then there was no money to manage.
The agency thatwould finance our payment plan for the total bill has now sent thier bill asking for us to start payments. W refused as J K Harris stopped as our legal ep on 10-10 only a few weeks after we had asked for their help.
Ripoff is a mild term as we were willing to tell and reveal all of our financial woes only to be forced to become bogged down in another financial pit.
Now, JKH is threatening to forward our delinquent account to a credit bureau.
Maybe, if there are so many ripoffs in the N Charleston, SC office-someone should help us.
