Ripoff, lies, and no results—We did the OIC ourself and paid JK Harris 3,000 to get our accounts levied and bad tax advice. Ripoff

We hired JK Harris in 2002 and fired JK Harris in 2004. We even checked BBB records and found nothing.
We fired JK Harris for many reasons.

We were lied to, for example: We were told they had filed 3 OIC to IRS and when I contacted IRS they sent me a copy of the one OIC that had been submitted. They also misreprested us to the IRS by classing one of our expenses as union dues. I got a call from the IRS asking me about this and I had to tell them it was not union dues.

JK Harris did noteven try to stop levies on our accounts.
Wiped out our checking and sons savings for over $1,200.
This happened about 5 months after they were hired JK Harris.

They even had the guts to offer to set up a payment plan or we would have to pay MORE money for them to file another OIC. Time to say "See Ya!" and fired. Then I found a lot of these things I mentioned, and more, when we handled it on our own.

When we requested a refund, we were offered $500 out of the $3000 paid to them. (And sign a hush letter.) We refused.

We settled with IRS in our own OIC for 25% of total debt, which just happened to be our net worth.
