Okay I've been watching this site for awhile now. Was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt or maybe I just didn't want to believe that I was RIPPED OFF!
Here's my story.
I received an email early july about their offer for the 42inch plasma TV and a free surround sound package. It seemed like a pretty good price and I knew the package was not really a big brand name. But I read about the warranty and seemed fine so I filled out their online app. Got a confirmation email back saying I was approved.
So I called, spoke to a cs rep, gave them 159.00 down payment. They said once the payment goes through they will call and confirm that my finance papers are on the way.
Recieved my papers about a week later. They required I give them a voided check a copy of my drivers license and a copy of a current paystub. The documents that were sent for me to sign looked kinda sketchy (bad copies) but the basic info was their interest rate and terms were there and info about if there was a prepayment penalty. I signed and sent them back within 2 days finally I was told my est. Day for delivery was aug. 4th. Then it changed to aug 15th. Took the day off and NO TV.
That day I had to call 20 times. No joke. No one ever answered and if I tried to leave a message I would get disconnected. THE PHONE SYSTEM THERE IS BY FAR THE WORST EVER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE THERE WELL I'LL JUST SAY THERE IS NONE THERE!
I finally got a hold of someone there on the 16th and received no help on my order at all! All they did is take down my info and said someone will call me back. And guess who called me back the next day? CHARLES MASON. He called me from a Georgia phone number AND I GOT LUCKY THAT IT WAS MY CHILD'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL SO I LEFT FOR MY OFFICE A LITTLE LATER THAN NORMAL (meaning that when I gave the lady at digitaltv my contact numbers I told her that the number Charles called I was only available @ night at that number and im sure he was hoping to get my voice mail but he got me)
When he called it sounded like he was suprised that I answered because right after I said this is Jacob he said can I put you on hold. After about a min or 2 he got back on saying that my tv should be in by the end of the week or early next week but that I should get a call back by the end of the week confirming a date for delivery.
I also mentioned this website to him and he said he's got it all taken care he contact Bernard (who is kinda the ring leader of that site that's what he told me) and he said by tomorrow everything will be good on the site about digitalnow. Tv.
No call back imagine that. Tried calling them yesterday just to see if they have made any progress on locating where my tv is and was on hold for 22 min while they were trying to locate my paperwork. Finally I just stay on hold anymore because I was at work.
Called them again today from work was on hold FOREVER and when I say forever I mean I was able to set my phone down on my desk go into a meeting that lasted at least 45min to an hour came back to my desk pick up my phone and I was still on hold OVER 45 MINS LATER! So I finally told myself that im never getting my tv!
And now they don't have a website anymore that's really comforting! To think I was at first refering a bunch of people to the site. Now I'm making sure that everyone knows how much of a bogus rip off company they are!
Well anyway I am a Illinois licensed Loan Officer and I work for a VERY LARGE AND NATIONAL KNOWN FINANCE COMPANY and I gave one of our corp. Lawyers copies of the finance papers to look over and see if there is anything I can do with that. Well i wish everyone luck! Fight back! Let everyone know how much of a joke digitalnow. Tv is!
