Complaint / Review
Teleteria, Jay Servidio
Ripoff

Hello All,

I see I am not the only one that is having difficulties with Jay. I talked to Jay this morning and asked for my deposit back because I no longer wanted to do business with him. This was the eighth day after I had sent my money - the first couple of days all kinds of calls and excitement to get my contract in and receive my deposit.

After I paid and got him the contracts - nothing until I wanted a refund. Upon request of refund, a site was magically completed and sent for my approval. After looking over the shoddy compilation I sent an e-mail back requesting my $6, ooo deposit and rejecting the design. I was then sent a response stating that I had forfeited my right to a refund. Because when he suggested to me over the phone that I could pay the remainder of the balance ($2, ooo) (25% of invoice) in lump sum anytime within 90 days with no penalty I said OK. Contract language states "Teleteria requires a 50% deposit... Upon completion you have opportunity to review... Accept - balance is due... If changes - Teleteria will try to meet within 24 hours. And if you reject the website design you may request a full refund of your initial deposit. Line Space Once you accept no refunds are available. Line Space Customers paying for website design on a monthly basis or any type of payment method other than 50% deposit and full payment on completion, are not eligible for a refund at any time. This language leads one to beleive that this is part of the agreement once the website is finished and approved and believe that Jay would tell you no differently when you asked him as a potential victim. Jay seems to from what I've read in all these postings bend these words any way he deems appropriate so that he in no possible scenario is he required to pay a consumer back their deposit money. I am being treated like a deadbeat consumer for over paying on my deposit (75% of invoice) and going along with the balance payment he suggested with "no penalty". That makes great business sense to treat your customer that way doesn't it?

It's a shame because I was really excited to do business with what first seemed to be a compassionate, friendly and trustworthy person. I would have to say that after what has transpired he is one of the most dishonest, untrustworthy, and unethical business owners I have ever come across. He has no heart and will rob you blind if you fall into his web scheme. I am posting this just by the chance that someone will see this and it will discourage them to do business with Teleteria to avoid the heartache I have suffered this week. I would also like to know of any other good posting boards where I can get this warning out. This is a real danger of being duped into losing thousands of dollars! To those of you who have already fallen victim to this 0% satisfaction guarantee, please contact me with the latest news on your headway of putting this guy behind bars. I have taken your advice and filed a formal complaint with the FTC and called the FBI agent you recommended to investigate this case. I am here to fight the good fight with you until the end. Please contact me immediately with any suggestions or help requests. Thanks for listening.
Rick
