On April 17 my husband recieved a phone call from a man with an middle eastern accent. He identified himself as Bruce Lawson and that he was executive handling account of government grant. His ID number was 1016.
He stated that we were approved for a $12,500 government grant. He said that all he needed was to confirm checking account numbers. My husband didn't want to give it to him but Lawson already had our routing number and account number to confirm. We don't know how he recieved these numbers because we had only opened our account two hours earlier. He then proceeded to tell my husband that he would withdraw $29.95 for the information packet that the government has sent. And then said enjoy your grant goodbye. My husband remembered him saying that he was from First National Grant and decided to check out the web site. He was amazed at what he found. Unfortunaltly these people still have all our information. My buddy says that if they record your voice saying yes to any questions that they can use that to authorize any transfers.
