Just wanted to report a woman who was talking about Primerica, and I guess, was trying to recruit me.instantly, I knew there was something really off about her.
I was just minding my own business, shopping at Victoria Secret on 34th St.in NY, and then from nowhere, this well-dressed woman comes up to me and asks where I'm from and what I'm studying. She didn't seem too smart, since she didn't know where Bolivia was.
She asked me the most wierd things. Like, was I ever going to contact my birth parents from there? Uh, well I don't really want to, and If I did, It would be really hard since It's a friggin' 3rd world country, yeah? Anways, she was very consistant and constantly brought up the fact as to how much money I could be making. I told her, I was going into Illustration, again, she didn't know what I was talking about.
There is no way in hell I'd find ANYTHING fufilling in making just pure money by scaming people as opposed to doing something I love, Illustration, and making money honestly.
She may have been well dresed and "seemed" professional. But nothing was profesional about her lack of education, not supplying a business card, and even just coming up to me. It's just in such poor taste, and she really made me nervous.
I'm not one to just stand there and smile. I asked her straight out "Don't you think it's a little odd to be approaching random people for a job?" I mean, sure, it makes sense if you're recuiting some gorgeous woman for Elite models or something, but something as vague as Primerica?
As she response for recuiting people, she said she didn't mind getting people interested but she DID say it's very odd. WOW, that's assuring. A woman,
probably more than twice my age (I'm a freshman in college, hello!) is falling for his bs. Not only is this pathetic, but very very sad.
It really breaks my heart that people who honestly just don't know about this, are falling for it. PLEASE if you were approached anywhere in New York, Primarily in the 34th St. And 8th Ave. Area, pleasse please please be a smart and aware man or woman. I care about everyone, and I want no one getting hurt: (! Think of your loved ones! Spread the word about this Primerica crap!
Again, I was at the Victoria Secret on 34th and 8th, NY on a friday - April 1st, 05 around 5ish pm. If a woman approaches you about Primearica there (the woman that approached me was hispanic, short dark brown hair, nicely dressed, mostly wore black, 5'3" ish) PLEASE tell a security guard that a strange supposed "business" woman with no business card approached you at VC or
report it at a precinct. Something like this should be illegal.
