A charge from some unknown compant, MyPerfectCredit.com, suddenly appeared on my credit card bill. The website appears to be a fake, and the phone numbers do not work, either. I managed to get through to an email address—and the company requests your social security number and other private information. Clearly, this is a dangerous scam at work. (It seems to have originated with another scam company, Web Detective, which also charges your credit card without authorization—I hve no idea how they get the numbers.)
Be very careful of My Perfect Credit, and report them immediately if they hack into your credit card or bank account—they seem to do both regularly.
Ever since this unauthorized charge to my account, someone has been taking out multiple newspaper and magazine subscriptions in my name. I assume there is a connection
