Like many others I received a link for a free offer. I signed up for the free credit report as it said it was free and only asked for my SSN and not credit card information, so they couldn't charge me anything. The terms and service also said nothing about me being charged.
Within 2 days I was charged 29.95. I contacted [email protected] and was told that it was non refundable so I immediately stopped payment with my credit card.
My credit card company got back to me saying my dispute was denied because they received proof that I authorized it. The proof included a form filled out with my credit card information, IP address (from the free offer), authorization, and various other personal info I never provided. The my perfect credit domain is registered as a private owner and the registrar will not give me their contact information.
The correspondences the credit card company was sent with a return address that appears to be for a company called Cannon Information Systems which no longer exists and the phone number listed for my perfect credit is some kid in California who denies his involvement. Than number is (949) 351-4880. For all I know the kid is running the scam.
With all this said I am out my money with no way to fight it and myperfectcredit.com and myperfectcredit.net no longer work. Hopefully a good layer will read this and start a class action suit.
