After making an agreement in good faith with the Simm Associates rep, re an outstanding credit card debt, they illegally made an extra unauthorized electronic debit of $298 from my checking account. We had agreed to two electronic debits on specific dates, in which I made sure the funds were available on the set date. They made a third debit, which made me incurr overdraft protection charges from my bank on subsequent debits and checks, totaling $224. They also never credited a $150 payment that was also made earlier.
After calls and numerous certified letters to Simm Associates Executives, I have yet to hear from them. Luckily I have a copy of their letter with the agreement stipulations, and statement of my bank showing the third unauthorized debit.
Next step will be the Attorney General's office, The Federal Trade Commission, and if necessary seek added penalties and fines.
I'm surprised with the couple of complaints I've read about Simm Associates, that a class action suit hasn't been started.
Simm Associates, if your out there, just give me back my money!
