I received a bill from this billing company called Premier Premium Communications. They claimed that I viewed a website by dialing a number in the United Kingdom. I first visited this PPC's website to get some information. There I found that they are billing company for websites. They never mention the fact that they bill for porn sites or adult content sites. They only list sports, games, chat, etc. So I contacted them by email, basically the only way you can contact them. I immediately received a response from them, within seconds, stating that I still have to pay the charges. I should note that this was on a Saturday afternoon and they are not open on Saturdays. That mean it was an automated response.
I have figured out that this was done by a dialer that has been downloaded on my computer. I have been trying to remove this dialer from my computer ever since my virus protection discovered it. However, it will not allow itself to be disconnected. If you visit PPC's website it states that it is unlikely that this software downloaded on it's own. However I am the only person who uses this computer, a laptop, which I use for work. So I know for a fact that it has not been used by anyone else. I do not visit adult sites and that is what PPC told me was accessed. Not only do I have their charges, but now my phone company will be billing for the call.
From reading some of the other reports, I can see that the same thing has happened to a lot of people recently. I hope that someone can find a way to put an end to this. This is obviously a fraudulent company who needs to be investigated.
