SubTeach USA is a minimum wage paying outsource agency that does not value the backbone of their existence. School districts that are using their services should review the merits of renewing their contract with them.
The problem with SubTeach USA is that it is only a temp service Schools use to find last minute replacements for absent teachers.
I have been a teacher since 1969 and I have never had an issue involving a student. I know how to relate and educate children of all ages, especially in my area of expertise.
The complaint here is the deliberate practice of not compensating substitute teachers for their work. When I inquired the school secretary as to why she switched me to a half day when I was scheduled for a full day, she reported it to SubTeach. I was not paid for that day and a letter was sent stating I was dropped from their list.
