If you are planning from taking courses from Radiological Enterprises now located in Rutledge, TN. Or Knoxville, TN., please do not take the classes.
In August I enrolled in Radiology Technology with this instructor. She was a friend to a friend of mine or else I never would have done this. Yet it still turned out to be a rip-off.
I spent $1,000 dollars total on books and teacher labor for class instruction on body systems (chest, extremities, spine). She procrastinated in placing me anywhere to obtain my clinicals. She does this with every student.
Finally she placed me in February. (March was to be the termination date for our classes.) It pushed me to try and get my clinical hours in period and then to try and get them by the time I needed to take state boards would have been nearly impossible.
To make matters worse, she placed me with a physician who was under investigation at the time for overprescribing narcotics to patients unbeknownst to me at the time. Next I go to work for this man and he asks me to perform venipunctures and pharmacological injections on patients. I refused instructing him that if he wanted to put me through school so I could legally perform venipunctures that that would be fine. I was not an LPN or an RN and knew that there was no way I would ever put a patient or myself at risk. He fired me. I soon stopped the classes, because of that experience. And I was learning of the reputation this woman had with other companies in the area and why it was so difficult to obtain a place to take my clinicals.
One night while coming into the classroom, I noticed new students which was odd at the end of our time there. We came to find out these were students from previous classes who were unable to get their clinical time in prior. They were there to repeat. Also one of our beginning regular students also was there to repeat prior classes. It unfortunately began coming together.
My friend who rented her the classroom said that in October she placed a call to him, saying she would no longer be needing his room in which to teach. She had to leave, saying a Johnson City physician was really upset with her. I saw one of the students recently who was there when I started, she was still there as were the others. Anyway this instructor taught in town for 2 more weeks then left for Knoxville. So watch out K-town...
This woman also teaches at South College in Knoxville, TN. She is greedy and loves to get money off the students.
