Complaint / Review
Fidelity National Home Warranty
Does not deliver the service per contract. Fraudulent Business

My dishwasher broke on 10/08. I called the Fidelity and they ordered a contractor for me. Contractor came on 10/14/04 and I was told that the moter is broken. Nothing can be fixed without the part. I paid the contractor $40 for this check up.

Fidelity noticed us that there are two options for me. Option 1: they replace my old Whirlpoor dishwasher with a new Kenmore one. Option 2: they give me $240 and I replace it myself.

I choose the Option 1 to avoid the headache of shopping and installation. I don't want to mention that the Kenmore dishwasher they order for me a cheap out-of-date model which cost $150 at most.

On 10/22/04, Sears delivery person came to our house unexpectedly. Both myself and my husband were not at home. They told my mom that the counter top is too low and they can not take the old dishwasher out. They ask us to call Fidelity to send somebody to raise the counter top. Sears left the new dishwasher in my garage.

We then made several phone calls to Fidelity. They told us "raise the counter top" is not covered service. They consider this service as a remodeling work.

Now we are dumped in this situation that there is a broken dishwasher in my kitchen with nasty water inside, and a new outdated dishwasher in my garage.

According the Warranty contract, they should replace my broken dishwasher which is in the kitchen as it is where it should be.
