We signed a contract with the Interior Design Company and its officers Nanci Strickland and Alex Degelman. After having our lawyer look over the contract we began our remodel it was a whole main floor and finishing a basement. These people took money up front for cabinets and never placed the cabinet order but took the money and closed their doors. When we realized what had happened we then found out lights, plumbing and various other orders that were paid for by us had never been placed and they had in fact taken that money too.
Their excuses made sense such as: we ordered your lights but do not want to have them delivered because they will get dusty with all the work thats going on. We also found out none of the workers they used and represented as licensed subs had any form of training except on our job. Tile work framing and all other work had to be torn out and redone. We not only lost our initial investment but then had to pay to have work redone.
When we realized the big scam the cabinets had been pulled off we called the police and they advised after doing a backround check that both individuals had criminal backrounds involving various felonies in the state of Colorado and other states as well. These people have already changed their company names and started business again; The Phoenix rising remodel company is one of the names they now go buy and they have added another criminal to their officers his name is Jimmy Stewart. Nanci is doing business under custom cabinet design systems. They just keep riping people off and to top it all off I notified the bbb and this information got them a C rating, (you have got to be kidding) having the bbb endorse a business clearly doesnt mean what I thought it did.
