Ripoff, defective product, failed del. Attempts, bad customer relatons

From the begining. We went to Rooms to go Kids and ordered a bedroom set for my son ($1400). We were told it was in stock and set up a delevery date. Then we went to Rooms To go and ordered a bedroom set for us ($2,599) and set up a delevery date.

We were call and told our sons bed was coming in and they would arrive b/w 2-6pm. They never showed up. We call and they said they would redel. On Monday. We'll they never showed up. We call again and they said there was a strike and the bed never showed up. We wait and call a few weeks later and they set up a delevery date again. It never came. Then we were told they don;t know when it will be del. So we call and canceled and received our money back. Needless to say my 1 yr old sone slept on the floor for this time.

Then our bed was sposed to be del. On Wed. B/w 11-3. I took off work to make sure I was there to meet them. They did not show up, they said wrond items on truck. Re set it up, susposed to be there b/w 11-3 did not show up until 7:00pm. They set up the dresser and two night stands and the bed with canopy. During the set up one of the foot brd post was defective. They hit it while putting my mattress back on. It fell off and missed my son's head my inches. The post was loose and was tilted in to get the canopy to fit. So the canopy and post were defective. I called and got the run around from person to person. I finally talked to customer service. They sent me a new post via UPS. I took it our and placed it on the bed. It also was defective and did not match the other post (color). I attempted to see if the canopy would fit now and the same results. So I called back and they sent me another post. It too was defective and a darker color. I called back and got them to send a rep out to check out the bed before we wnet any further. He tried to fix the post but came to the same conclusion. We also set the canopy up and it didn't fit. I called and got customer service to send me a whole new bed. We waited a month to get it. When it arrived it was incomplete and busted up. SO I had to refuse the bed. I called customer serive rep Todd Reed back and explained the situation again. All time and effort and I'm have a defective product. We spent money on bedding and decorations ($1000 total). They said there policy was not to refund the money. I had to argue with him and treaten to sue. So he said they would refund my money. I asked about compinsation of the decoration items and he said he could not do anything. So we set up a pick up date and that was suspose to be yesterday (10-6-04) b/w 2-6. No one showed up so we had to call again. They said they were behind and would be there around 9:00pm. We waited. No one showed up. Dispathc called and said the dirve had two more stops and then us. So we waited. 11:00pm dispatch called and said the drive was lost and would not make it. More lost time. The whole time we would talk to multiple people with RTG and no one could help. Todd was the only one. We are getting nothing accomplished. They miss there times and I waste my time waiting for them. I'm going to loose money and its there product is defective. We have been put out time after time. The customer serive has been horrible. I'm so sick of them and this situation. The run around has been worse then discribed but I wanted to get my main point across. I run my own company and if Itread my customers this was I would not have a company. I have never been treat this way EVER. I'm the customer and I have to call all the time to check and waste my time.
