Not satisfied with sears appliance contract and a&e (the company that services) - maytag refrigerator srp $2000

I will never ever do business with sears ever again. Sears doesn't care about their consumers. They just want their money.

First complaint: i purchased a service contract for my maytag refrigerator on june 20, that covers up to $500.00 for labor and parts. The labor charges dissovled more that half of the coverage of the contract. Then the next day the repair guy came out and determined that i needed a compressor. Of course i had to pay addtional because the part was almost $500.00, the entire cost of the contract.

Second complaint: then the repair guy ordered the part which took him almost two weeks to come and install the part. When he came to install the part, he decided that the part was defected. He had to order a new part and he reassured me that when the new part comes, that i will get proprity treatment and he will come out immediately. That didn't happen. When i called for emergency service customer service just gave me the run around and put me in back of the line and told me to wait again to saturday, july 7. I am very angry about this because this isn't emergency service and then to be told to wait until july 11. They told me that i didn't have an appointment for today, my appointment is for july 11. Again, waiting and very very angry with sears for making me wait for so long while your customer service is giving me the run arounds.

Conclusion: i depended on sears to fix my refrigerator since june 20. Today is july 7 and my refrigerator is still broken. I've be eating out every night since i called sears and it's gettng costly. Sears customer service showed no concern about my emergency. I hope sears doesn't expect me to patronized them in the future considering how they treat their consumers.

I have read some of the complaints about sears and i agree with a lot of their concerns because i am currently experiencing the same exact situation.

Your service contract is no good, you need to modify it to accomodate people that had appointements and had a problem with a part, to get first priority. Otherwise sears is practicing bad business.
