I have found the FCC 's support of the Do Not Call list by accepting violation reports to be apparently effective in the past. However, it seems not to be working anymore. I have an unlisted number (costs extra) and am on the Do Not Call list, and report violations just about 100%, but there are two telemarketing companies out there who keep on calling and calling and calling. I ask to be taken off their list, and this might work for a month or two (usually not) and then it keeps coming, every few days. When I speak to them they laugh at FCC.
