No furniture no refund no response ripoff fraud

My wife and I ordered dining room furniture in Dec and placed 40% deposit (over $2700) via credit card. Estimated delivery was for March. March came and went, no call, no furniture.

We called frequently asking for an explanation. Over the next few months, contacting the company customer service rep was more difficult, but you could talk to a sales rep. FUSA first claimed manufacturer was on strike, then manufacturer had import delays. Delays are common, so we didn't suspect much at first. Then, only when we called posing as potential customer, someone admitted the company had stopped orders on certain furniture lines. We decided to contact other retailers to see if our furniture was available or manufacturer had problems. All other retailers said furniture was in stock.

Come July, we became nervous and decided to cancel our order. We sucessfully contacted the company for the last time and cancelled the order and was promised full refund in 14 days (10 business days) Now mid August, still no refund. Phone service has become fully automated. No reponse to phone messages, email, letters, or faxes.

After reading all other stories, seems like FUSA has pulled one on us. If anyone has any luck or any news of how to obtain refund, please post information.
