The summer of 2008 or I can't remember for sure, I had some problems with my bathroom, which happens to be on the second floor. Apparently a pipe had broken or I had a leak. So my Insurance agent recommended Mid Michigan Restoration. They came out and things were going great.
A few days had passed but Mid Michigan was not done with the job yet. I went to take a bath. When I got out went to make dinner I noticed that my kitchen was flooded and water was pouring from the ceiling. (the bathroom is above the kitchen)
I immediately called Mid Michigan and was told to wait until the following morning and they would be out to finish the job. They came and put in huge fans to dry out the ceiling and to see what the issue was. It turns out that Mid Michigan had forgotten to attach the over fill drain. So they fixed this.
Trouble began when Mid Michigan stopped showing up to work and days were going by. When they finally showed up to take the fans out and paint the walls, I told them I wanted a new ceiling. This would be about 3 normal size pieces of drywall, so not a lot of money. They wanted to know why. I told them that they flooded the drywall and I did not want to have mold issues in the feature. Plus, they had to patch up some spots and even with paint it would look funny. Mid Michigan refused to do this. Since I had already given them their money, they painted and just left.
I went to speak with the owner of the company to see if he was willing to help. He was in a meeting so I waited. I noticed that the contractor that I was dealing with was in a different office so I went in to see him. I demanded that I be give me my money back or they should fix the issue. Tempers flared and we began to scream at each other. Suddenly I noticed that the owner was in the doorway of the office and he wanted to know what was up. I calmly told him the issue and he said he did not agree with me. He said the fans should have done the trick in absorbing and drying the water. I disagreed and said I was suing if we could not come up with an agreement. They started yelling at me and would not let me leave the office. I had to shove my way through the door to escape the owner and his people. I ran through the building and out to my car. I was so scared, I was going to call the cops but my phone had died while waiting in the office.
Mid Michigan Employees And their Owner use HARRASMENT as a tactic and are not willing to make someone happy after they have allready agreed that they messed up!!!
Think twice before doing business with them!!! Or at least don't pay first!!!
