I want to tell you about the carpet cleaners that came to my house a couple of days ago. I saw an ad for a 9.95 per room carpet cleaning thinking my carpets were lightly soiled and i needed them cleaned. When the man came to clean my carpet he pulled up in a very old, and smokey van that looked like it had never been washed. I opened the door for the guy which was a big mistake cause the 9.95 i saw an the ad is false and a lie. He walked through my house and started measuring everything which took 1 hour to do.
After the measuring the man said my 1 year old carpet needed special treatments or it would be ruined and handed me an estimate for 650 dollars keep in mind i only had three areas which were pretty clean i just wanted a freshen up. I was so upset that i said i would like the man to leave.
The guy who came was dirty, and his teeth were rotten and when i called his boss DON TALBOT i kept getting a answering machine and no reply for days. Is this a ethical way to do buisness sending advertisments for 9.95 carpet cleaning. Is there a way to prove its a bait and switch operation buy examining the invoices of this company and looking at how many people actually paid 9.95 per room.
thank you for your time
