TOTAL rip-off! Fraud! Dishonest salesman! Worst customer service!

Futurama Home Furshining opened last year in Poughkeepsie, Recently they had 10-33% sale. So we visitied them to buy a end table and cocktail table. We like one and talked to the salesman to order it.

The salesman said "the cost is $179 per table and $50 delivery charge, will take one week to deliver, plus u will get 10% discount on table price". We returned to think. We went back next week saw a different salesman, he said "the cost is 179 $ per table and 75$ delivery charge, will take less than one week to deliver, if u pay the full amount of table in advance, plus u will get 10% discount on table price".

We said another salesman said the delivery charge is 50 $, so he went to check and said ok we will give u at 50 $ deliverycharge. NOTE: the different statements provided by salesman. We get ready to order. The salesman repeats: "MAKE THE FULL PAYMENT, it speeds the delivery process AND YOU WILL GET THE DELIVERY IN THIS WEEK" trusting him we paid 441$in full.

We checked with them, the tables were available and in stock. One week passed-NO NEWS, Second Week_no news, we got tired and called the showroom-they say"Sir, we do not have the table in stock, will take 5 weeks to get it to u" We say that we had checked while placing the order and it was in stock, secondly the sAlesman said u will get the tables in one week and its more than 2 weeks now.

They call the salesman on phone who rudely says "what does the receipt say, that time we see the order recept where he wrote with his pen-delivery-4-6 wks, we ask him why u lied and he said - what is marked on the recipt is right whatever he said does not matter. He says this with no sign of apology or urge to provide any assistance. The office people say we dont take responsibilty of what our sales man say. Isnt it shameful?

So we ask to cancel the order-This is the time we come to know the company poilcy is that EVEN IF U HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE DELIVERY, AND ITEM IS NOT In STOCK WITH THE COMPANY, STILL U HAVE TO PAY 20% CACELLATION FEE-"WHAT A RIP OFF" (NOTE: ALL THIS IS MENTIONED IN VERY LIGHT INK ON THE BACK OF THE RECIEPT, WHICH IS NOT NOTICABLE AT ALL) They ask us to come to store to cancel the order as they dont take cancellation on phone. We get so frustrated, we ask to talk to the manager-compnay people say - MANAGER IS OUT-we go to the showroom they say "MANAGER IS GONE FOR THE DAY" AT 6PM???

We submit the cancellation with requesT that since u dont have it in stock we are not entitled to pay the cancellation fee, its not our fault-its company's fault. No body from comapny gets back to us. We call the show room next day-MANAGER IS OUT-They ASk to call customer service in New Jersy and talk to manager -JOSEPHINE.

We ge the answer_joSEPHINE IS NOT IN-and cacellation charges will apply. We tried for four day to reach the managers, left voicemail, but none of them replied nor did they call. Tired of it we ask them to deliver the tables. Guess what-we get the tables after two months. As per the salesman and customer service, the delivery people do the assembling.

THIS IS WHAT THE DELIVERY PERSON SAID" CUSOMER SERVICE AND OFFICE PEOPLE INCLUDIN THE SALES MAN DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SAYING, WE NEVER DO ANY ASSEMBLY FOR ANYONE" They leave the tables as is and leave. We open to assmeble_AGAIN GUES WHATT THE TABLE IS BROKEN" We call customer service, tell them what the delivery people did, tell them that a broken table was delivered. The answer we get is " we will schedule a pick-it will take 4-6 wks, after the pick up we will scedule a re delivery-again 4-6 wks. AND WE ARE LIKE WHAT???

We told them we cannot wait this long we paid we get damamges table after all this trauma and now again 4 months. We ask to speak with the managers and againMANAGER GORDON IS NOT IN, MANAGER JOSEPHINE IS NOT IN. Manager gordon does not have voice mail. I mean what kind of company this is? Enventually we left message with the assistant that we gonna report this to rip off and all the local newspapers if we do not get a call in 24 hrs. After all this the manager calls us and schedules the table to be changed during the week.

Well atlast after 3 months everything was in place. But guess what we now get calls from the customer service at new jersy-saying we want to schedule a pick up for the damamged delivery-after everything was taken care of. We reply its taken care of. After two weeks again we get a call for the same thing. We ask for the manager and she rudely says" i dont have time to go over with what problem u had in the whole process, i dont have to go over this, just tell me the current status".

We tell he we will report this rude behaviour and she says, ok and bangs the phone on us. Tell me is this customer service? This was a total total rip off, in this country where customer is always right-this company does not care about the customer all that they care is their sales, they lie to makes the sales do not provide anything what they promise. Please do something to such companies — never buy anything from any futurama home furniture store ever
