We hired Angel Quinones of DTC Remodel to install hardwood floors in the bedroom of our condo. He demanded payment of half up front and started work 2-06-12. We began questioning the quality of the work fairly early on (was supposed to be a 4 day project... Took 2 weeks), when the guy installing the floors (not Angel) told us Angel didn't bother to get the better grade plywood (goes under the cork and flooring as required in condo bldgs) that would have made the floors lower to the ground. Angel and the installer refused to fix the flooring when the piece nearest the entry (despite specific instruction to do it otherwise) was installed the WRONG DIRECTION and Angel didn't bother to install grading for the transitions between the wood and tile (we had to beg for these - and they were installed poorly - see later comment - not leveled and not as requested).
What really bothered me, though, was that when I suggested Angel might not have used the right specs for the floor, he disappeared.
