I had a window replaced for my bathroom which was done correctly and quickly, however their business hours were not feasible for me, commuting into NYC so I had to pay for it over the phone. I used my debit card to pay for the window and it worked out fine.

About 3 weeks later, I received an email notification from bank that my account was over drawn by $560. I was nowhere near being low in my account so I panicked. I looked at my account and the people at Window Doctor had charged my card for $1,140.

I called my bank immediately and they said they could temporarily take it off my account until the Window Doctor hard processes the charge, then it will come out of my account. I was hit with overdraft fees for this as well.

I then called the guy at the Window Doctor and demanded to know what they were doing with my card. He said "Oops, we had another credit card purchase over the phone, and my girl must have charged the wrong card"

OOPS? Oops? This is my money, you're messing with, and I'm sorry, but I don't have an extra $1,140 dollars laying around to let some window company just play with. This all took place on a Tuesday, the charge hit my account on Wednesday, and the guy at the Window Doctor was very unapologetic, lazy, and slow about handling the situation. He continued to say, "oh I'll call you when I"m back to the office, I want to be the one to take care of this".

He then was supposed to issue a refund, which would be quicker (3 business days) than me filing a Fraudulent Charge Affidavit with my bank. However, he felt no rush to take care of this, he wasn't in the office on Friday, so he didn't get around to refunding me UNTIL SATURDAY.

Now, it was bad enough I had to wait for 3 days to get my money back, now I'm waiting additional time because he feels this is no big deal. He can just charge my card and take his sweet time to refund my cash. Him doing the refund on Saturday, delays my refund by 2 additional days.

They shouldn't have even had my credit card information on file, where someone can just "Ooops, charge the wrong card." This type of financial informaiton needs to be kept under lock and key, or destroyed once a transaction is complete. Not left, jotted down in a book, where someone unqualified to decipher between customer information, can charge anybody's card they feel like.

I have now called 4 times to try and get a receipt for the refund to even see if he has in fact refunded me. The money still has not hit my account, so I am still living on pennies or credit because of this mistake and his casual, lazy attention to it.

He has made no offer for a discount on further service, he has hardly apologized for the MASSIVE inconvenience of being without money for over a week.

This customer service is completely unacceptable and just bad business.

I will never bring any business back to them in the future nor recommend them to anyone.
